Jupiter Jewels Can Now Buy You Maharaja Points
Air India just dropped something interesting for Jupiter users. You can now swap your Jupiter Jewels for Maharaja Points.
The math is simple. Six Jupiter Jewels get you one Maharaja Point. Not the best conversion rate out there, but if you've been sitting on unused Jewels, this gives them a new purpose.
Think about it. Every UPI payment you make on Jupiter, every bill you pay, now gets you closer to a free flight or an upgrade.
How to Make the Switch
The process is pretty straightforward. Here's what you need to do.
Log into the Jupiter app
Navigate to the ‘Store’ section and click on ‘Miles transfer’
Select Jewels in multiples of 10 to convert into Maharaja Points
Enter your Maharaja Club ID and other required details
Click on ‘Convert Now’
Maharaja Points will be credited within 3-5 working days

What's Jupiter Anyway?
For those who don't know, Jupiter is a fintech app. It's not a bank but works with Federal Bank and CSB Bank. Over 30 lakh Indians use it.
The app lets you track expenses, save money, and earn rewards called Jewels on your spending. Five Jewels equal one rupee. Now those Jewels can also book you a flight.
Jupiter offers UPI payments, savings accounts, mutual funds, and even a credit card. The Edge+ CSB RuPay card is lifetime free with some decent cashback.
Air India's Growing Partnership Game
This isn't Air India's first rodeo with loyalty partnerships.
In September 2025, the airline partnered with Zomato, allowing users to earn 2% Maharaja Points on food orders above Rs 499. Order biryani, get flight points. That's what we call a win-win.
Air India has been busy building bridges. In 2024 and 2025, they expanded their codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines, adding 11 Indian cities and 40 international destinations. The airline also signed interline partnerships with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways, and Uzbekistan Airways in June 2025.
The Maharaja Club programme itself has over 50 brand partnerships now. From hotels to shopping brands, Air India is making points easier to earn.
The Fine Print You Should Know
You need a working Maharaja Club account. No account, no transfer. Once you convert Jewels, there's no going back. The transaction is final.
You can't transfer Jewels to someone else's account. The minimum conversion is 60 Jewels. And it has to be in multiples of 10.
Both Air India and Jupiter can change or pull this programme anytime. No prior notice needed.
Points expire if you don't fly Air India within 24 months. So use them or lose them.
Is This Worth It?
Let's be honest. The 6:1 conversion isn't great.
If you typically redeem Jewels for cash (where 5 Jewels equal Rs 1), you're losing value here. Six Jewels as cash would give you Rs 1.20. As Maharaja Points, they're worth less.
But if you're a frequent flyer, Maharaja Points might offer more value. Award flights can stretch your points further than cash redemptions. Cabin upgrades too.
The real winners are people who already use Jupiter regularly and fly Air India often. For them, this adds another redemption option without changing their habits.
