Flying just got easier for lakhs of Indian bank customers. Air India has partnered with four new banks, letting you swap those forgotten reward points for actual flight miles.
Which Banks Made the Cut?
The airline announced Punjab National Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Central Bank of India, and South Indian Bank as new partners. All four offer a uniform 6:1 conversion ratio – spend 6 bank points, get 1 Maharaja Point.
What’s interesting? Most cards qualify. From PNB’s RuPay Platinum to South Indian Bank’s Visa Signature, even basic debit cards are included. Your everyday spending card might already be earning you flights.
Here is a quick snapshot:
Air India’s Banking Blitz Continues
This isn’t Air India’s first rodeo this year. Back in August 2025 (as we reported), they added IndusInd, SBI AURUM, DBS, and Yes Bank to the Maharaja Club roster. A few months later, four more banks join the party.
The strategy is clear – cast a wider net. Public sector banks serve the majority of India’s banked population. By bringing PNB and Central Bank into the fold, Air India isn’t just chasing premium credit card holders anymore.
The 6:1 ratio isn’t mind-blowing, but it beats letting points expire. Check your bank app – you probably have more points than you think, gathering digital dust.
Time to turn that monthly grocery shopping into your next Goa trip.
